I tried to watch the movie 2 years ago; but didn't even make it through 20 minutes. I was so confused and it seemed like she was chasing some bad guy that wasn't really meant for her. I was bored and didn't understand the point.

But reading the book was a lot more interesting (but still a meh overall; just in comparison to the movie). Adam seemed like a better character than he was in the movies, too. You saw the meaning behind their relationship already way more than in the short amount of the movie I saw.

It was good: but overhyped.
