Of Neptune by Anna Banks My rating: 3 of 5 stars 3/5 stars. This was better than the last book... but it was totally unnecessary. This book just created problems than anything else. It could've ended in the previous book. The writing was better than book 2, but I still think I need to reread book 1 and see why I rated this 5 stars. These books are mediocre, at best. It's a shame how downhill this trope-fest of a book, actually is. QUOTES I HAVE ISSUES WITH: "'With you, I'll take it any way I can get it.' Awk-ward. Also, ew. 'Reed-' 'Too much too soon?' 'Too much anytime. I'm with Galen. We're going to be mated.' But I recognise the trace of doubt in my declaration.'" This makes me cringe for many reasons. I rated the first book, Of Poseidon , 5/5 stars! :( The writing started off really well, and then all of a sudden it turned to shit. Nalia, Emma's mother, is the worst. She is poorly written and disturbing. A bit too much like Tris in Insurgent; infuriating. Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber My rating: 3 of 5 stars 3.5/5 stars. This is such a short book, so I can't write much. I really enjoyed it! However; it was super crigney . I felt like I was reading the protag of a 12 y.o. girl (which she is not). It's a perfect short story for a vampire read. It uses the worst cliches, and shoves them into the most popular cliche of the 21st century: hot, teenage boys. Fabulous. But it does have a great ending, and it's written well. There was a quote somewhere near the end that went, just because they have superpowers, doesn't make them a superhero. I can't say much because I feel like if I do, it'd just be a spoiler.
